Project - Palette Skills

Labour Market Research

January 2021 | Using a variety of data sources, conducted labour market research to inform the design of Palette’s next re-skilling program. This research identified jobs with growing demand in target regions, adjacent talent in occupations on the decline, and the remaining skill gaps that a new program would need to fill to support job transitions.

Foresight for Resilient Cities

March 2020 - December 2020 | A virtual Future Cities Canada initiative that leveraged strategic foresight tools to enable future-focused city building aligned to global resilience goals through network activation and capacity building. This project included an in-depth pilot with the City of Calgary.

Evergreen’s Innovation Process

September 2019 - August 2020 | A year-long project to design and codify Evergreen’s internal processes and decision making frameworks to better support agility and the organization’s ability to innovate. This project included extensive internal and external user research, several engagement workshops, and the development of an action plan to ensure the process was ritualized and embedded in all areas of the organization moving forward.

October 2018 - March 2020 | In partnership with Nesta, this project combined foresight research, six cross-country expert workshops, and machine learning to shed light on how the labour market may shift by 2030. The purpose of this study was to provide a new source of labour market information for policy makers.

Local Sustainable Food Procurement Needs Assessment

2005 | In advance of a new university-wide food service agreement, we conducted user research to understand the need for including additional guidelines. Students were asked about their desire for local, sustainable, ethical, and culturally appropriate foods, resulting in the development of a university-wide food buying policy.
