Charitable Funds Investment Opportunity Assessment
Toronto Foundation
Having recently completed a new strategic plan, the Toronto Foundation was exploring the viability of a new business strategy. To support this, Creative Futures was engaged to help assess the opportunity through primary and secondary research. This research aimed to understand the viability of their new business strategy, and key considerations for successful implementation.
Our Approach:
Creative Futures conducted a broad scan of 100+ charitable organizations who may benefit from the product offering.
Based on this scan, Creative Futures identified a set of potential prospects and working theory about the type of organizations who may benefit from the product offering.
Creative Futures prepared a summary report outlining preliminary findings.
To further assess the viability, Creative Futures conducted 20 interviews with leaders of charitable organizations to understand their needs and perceived desirability of the product.
Creative Futures prepared a final report with recommendations, providing suggested next steps for the development of the new strategy.
Results:
The research helped the Toronto Foundation assess a new business strategy, and identify tangible next steps. Additionally, the research helped identify and directly engage prospective charitable organizations, to ensure the product offering aligns with their needs.
